The Netherland club 2016 PSV Eindhoven home jersey released a special version to
commemorate the long-term cooperation with the PHILIPS. The red jersey is match
with the white decorations and the last time to reveal on the chest of the
jersey.
The
team will wear the jersey at the last two matches of this season. The club
hopes to finish the season match in this way and come the cooperation to the
end for 34 years.
The
debut of the red color of PSV Eindhoven jersey shows in 1982 PHILIPS ads. On the
back of the neck collar, there is printed the slogan "Proud of you"
that is appreciated with club and PHILIPS company.
The
badge of "Sport Philips" reflects the intimate relation with club and
Philips company that is the earliest badge of the club at the period of
1917-1937.
Philips
is still a major shareholder of the club,despite the club is not the club
jersey advertiser any more. The Philips and Philips Benelux chairman Hans de
Jong expressed, "This is a special milestone . We will make a deal with
the club in a new way. Philips will be always join the construction of our club
as founder and shareholder."
