Ibrahimovic: I’m too old to play in Premier League

In the extra-match of UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier that just ended, Ibrahimovic scores twice to help Sweden eliminate Denmark, successfully reaching next year’s UEFA Euro in France. After the game, he accepts an interview.

“Without me, the World Cup is not worth watching.” Said Ibrahimovic in 2014, when Sweden failed to make it out of the World Cup preliminaries. Today, the journalist asks him how important he thinks he is to the UEFA European Championship, and he answers “I will bring magic to everyone. To me, this game is very important and I have been looking forward to it. It could be my last championship in the national team. I am very excited, because a lot of people said we would not defeat Denmark, and now you see? I am satisfied. I don’t like making a public statement and I only speak by soccer.”

Ibrahimovic is already 34 years old and his contract with PSG expires next summer. Since he played in top leagues in Sweden, Holland, Spain, Italy and France, many people are curious whether he will go to challenge himself in Premier League. He responds “I think to me, going to Premier League is too late. I just want to finish the six-month contract and wait to see. I am happy every day on the field and I don’t know when to end my professional career.”
