A magazine called Don Balon in Spain makes a big piece of news and its website carries an exclusive interview with Higuain who is a former Real Madrid player, and he shows huge dissatisfaction towards his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. The report has been reprinted by AS, Mundodeportivo and other media.
The report of Don Balon doesn’t show the interview time or interview place, even the journalist name. The report says Higuain said in the interview “Cristiano Ronaldo is very arrogant. If you don’t say he is No.1 in the world, he will never make friends with you. CR7 thinks he is the best in the world, but he overestimates himself. Messi and I are teammates in the national team, and he is just different with CR7.”
Without any signs, the authenticity of Higuain’s speech is open to doubt. As Higuain’s current team, Napoli make an official statement and it claims Higuain has never received any interviews with Don Balon, and it totally repudiates every word in the report. Afterwards, Don Balon deletes the report. However, a lot of media including Daily Mirror still enjoy reprinting the report.
Judging from the present situation, the report is basically identified as false news.
