Guardiola stays at a team for 4 years at most?

The rumor that Bayern Munich head coach Guardiola could coach Man City at the end of this season has been reported by lots of media. In the view of Guardiola’s friend and former coworker Bosch, this Spanish manager’s perfectionism makes it impossible for him to stay in a team for too long.

When accepting an interview, Bosch says “Pep always builds his team and makes more demands to his players. So he will gradually feel dissatisfied and keep pursuing perfection. He feels it hard to stay motivated when working with players that win many honors. Ideas need renewing constantly, or hunger is lost. I think most of the hunger comes to its limit after 3 to 4 years, and the relationship between the coach and the players stops developing.” Guardiola coached Barca in 2008 and left the club in 2012, and it was exactly 4 years.

Still, Bosch doesn’t tell any possibilities of Guardiola’s future, “This is a decision that he must make by himself. He felt hurt when he left Barca. If he finds he faces the same moment, he will also do that (leave the team). I think 3 to 4 years is his upper limit in coaching a team.”
