Benitez criticizes Real Madrid’s president: Always change the head coach

Benitez who was sacked by Real Madrid not long ago finally talks about Real Madrid after a period of silence. He goes to BT Sports as a guest to commentate on the Champions League games of Real Madrid, and he talks a lot and says the biggest problem of Real Madrid is Florentino, and he even thinks Florentino is “a little neurotic”.

Benitez says it’s difficult to explain the current situation of Real Madrid, “So you need to know what have happened in recent years in Real Madrid. You can see Camacho, Bosque, Pellegrini, Mourinho, Ancelotti…Being a head coach in Real Madrid is not easy. You must do everything perfectly. You will get a problem as long as things go wrong or the president thinks things go wrong.”

Benitez defends himself, “I thought we did great and we could have done better, but they were nervous and the fans were nervous, and the president was nervous too, so they changed the head coach.”

Benitez complains that Florentino interfered with the team, “My assistant coach told me we used to feel the pressure from the president and he always stayed alongside. He talked to the players and the media. Seeing the president talk to the players and the media everyday is not an easy thing to a head coach, especially to a head coach who coached in Premier League.”
