As a former coach in Barca, Cruijff first comments on CR7’s playing features, “I always like CR7’s skills because they are kind of like my style. CR7 is a great player but he is a shooter. He will never become a player who is able to create chances or make the team play better, and he cares more about how to shoot but he is a good player.”
As for Messi, Cruijff says “Compare with CR7, Messi is more like a teamwork player. He is able to pass a good ball and offer more assists. So to me, as a football player instead of a shooter, the most excellent player is Messi, though he also scores a lot. To me, there is a huge difference between a great football player and an excellent shooter.” Cruijff also believes “The FIFA Ballon d'Or of this season goes to Messi, which is undoubted.”
